Janet R. Kleinberg

Associate

Janet litigates commercial cases for both plaintiffs and defendants. She is a highly experienced lawyer who handles commercial contract disputes, business torts, corporate litigation, and the range of commercial litigation matters that arise in the normal affairs of our business startup and small business clients. Janet also is highly experienced at trademark prosecution and performs a support role in a broad range of contract and transactional matters involving start-up business issues.

Janet received her B.A. degree in 1972 and her M.A. in 1974 from Santa Clara University, after which she initially pursued a teaching career. She received her J.D. degree in 1992 from Santa Clara University School of Law and began her legal career as in-house counsel for Trinity Properties in San Francisco. Prior to joining Grellas & Associates, she served as an associate attorney with the law firm of England & Belote in San Francisco, for Matteoni, Saxe & Nanda in San Jose, and for Olimpia Whelan & Lively in San Jose, where she served as a senior associate attorney. She joined Grellas & Associates in 2002. Janet sits on the board of directors of the Sunnyvale-Cupertino Bar Association and a member of the Santa Clara Bar Association, and the State Bar of California. She serves regularly as a judge pro tem on our local courts in Silicon Valley.
